Congress stepped in last week to keep the 21% Medicare physician pay cut from hitting doctors. But the issue is far from resolved. This latest extension will expire on June 1st, leaving lawmakers to consider another tempoary extension or a permanent fix. There’s been no talk of actually going ahead with the dramatic fee cut.
